Extend Your Green Living to Home Improvement with the New ReStore ...

On Friday, June 10th, Habitat for Humanity is set to open a new ReStore home improvement outlet in Beaverton.

Working collaboratively with Habitat for Humanity, the ReStore will sell reclaimed and reusable building materials, furniture, appliances, home accessories and other home improvement products to the general public at prices well below retail. Proceeds from the ReStore?s sales help local Habitat for Humanity affiliates fund the construction of Habitat homes within the community.

Joe Connell, ReStore Director, said, ?Three years ago we realized that we needed to open a ReStore in Washington County to better serve this community. Now, with the opening of our new store, not only will we raise more funds to help build Habitat homes, we offer Washington County residents a local destination to purchase reuse materials and donate items they might otherwise send to a landfill.?

The Washington County ReStore at Cedar Hills Crossing will be their largest resale outlet location in the Portland area with over 24,000 square feet of retail warehouses. The ReStore is located to the southwest of the Cedar Hills Crossing mall, at the corner of Millikan Way and Hocken.

More information about Portland area ReStore can be found at?pdxrestore.org.
